A play on Delacroix's 'Liberty leading her people'.
As the environment deteriorates and the population pressure gets worse, we can expect to see more and more conflicts not only between governments but also between governments and its people. Governments are the custodian of values that were at its foundation since their inception - whether it is liberal democracy and/or neoliberal capitalism. These core values will be tested in the fast changing (mostly for the worse) socio-political and environmental condition as we move ahead; and it's quite likely that the values will be changed through radical change in how we perceive them.
It is a worthy cause to fight for ideals of liberty, equality and fraternity. But as I mentioned earlier, what each of these words mean is different today from what it was when put together like so in 1791.
