This is a documentary that goes into details of the early years of Bowie’s career. Specifically, it goes into details of Bowie’s first three solo albums - David Bowie, Man of Word/Man of Music and The Man Who Sold The World. This documentary is significant because it explores the life of Bowie before he became famous and thus looks keenly at his struggles, inspirations and process. This avoids directly taking inputs from Bowie, but interviews his collaborators and friends from early era.

A general documentary spanning Bowie’s entire life. Features interview snippets from the 80s and early 90s. The Bowie here is mature, looking back critically at his life.
